Moong bhaji

½ cup Yellow Moong Dal (Split)
4-5 Green chilies
¼ cup chopped Cilantro
1 tsp Garlic Paste
½ tsp Cumin seeds, ¼ tsp Asafoetida Powder, ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder (Optional)
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

moogachi bhaji, moong bhaji, bhajji recipe, pakoda recipe, moong pakoda, pakora
1) Soak Moong dal atleast for 3-4 hours. Drain. Grind Dal without adding water.
2) Put ground dal into mixing bowl. Add chopped green chilies, Garlic paste, cilantro, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida powder, Turmeric Powder, Black Pepper powder and salt to taste. Mix well.
3) Heat oil for deep frying. Keep flame on medium. Drop small balls of dal mixture to heated oil. Deep fry till golden brown.

Serve hot with tamarind Chutney or Green chutney.

  1. I tried making baked moog vade..but they turn out to be very hard from outside, but not done from inside. What is the correct way of making baked moog vade?

      मुग भजी तळूनच खुसखुशीत लागते. तसेच आपल्याला वाटते तेवढे तेलसुद्धा पीत नाही. जर तुम्हाला अगदीच बेक करून पहायचे असतील तर थोडा बेकिंग सोडा पिठात कालवा. तसेच वड्यांना तेलाचे ब्रशिंग करा. नाहीतर वडे कडकडीतच लागणार.
