Moog Bhaji (English version)

साहित्य:
१/२ कप पिवळी मूग डाळ
४-५ हिरव्या मिरच्या
१/४ कप चिरलेली कोथिंबीर
१ टिस्पून लसूण पेस्ट
१/२ टिस्पून जिरे,
१/४ टिस्पून हिंग, १/२ टिस्पून हळद
१/४ टिस्पून मिरपूड किंवा १-२ मिरी ठेचून (ऑप्शनल)
चवीपुरते मिठ
तळण्यासाठी तेल


कृती:
१) मूग डाळ ३-४ तास पाण्यात भिजत ठेवावी. नंतर त्यातील पाणी काढून टाकावे. डाळ पाणी न घालता बारीक वाटून घ्यावी.
२) वाटलेल्या डाळीत बारीक चिरलेल्या मिरच्या, लसूण पेस्ट, कोथिंबीर, जिरे, हिंग, हळद, मिरी आणि चवीपुरते मीठ घालावे.
३)मिडीयम हाय गॅसवर कढईत तेल तापत ठेवावे. चमच्याने किंवा हाताने डाळीचे मिश्रणाचे छोटे गोळे तेलात सोडावे. भज्यांना गोल्डन ब्राऊन रंग आला कि थोडावेळ कागदावर / किचन टॉवेलवर अधिकचे तेल काढून टाकावे.
हिरव्या चटणीबरोबर किंवा चिंच,गूळ,खजूराच्या गोड चटणीबरोबर गरमागरम भज्या खाव्यात.

    अगदी खरं !! त्या भजीची आठवण येते म्हणून घरी मूगभजी अधूनमधून बनवते. शाळेत असल्यापासून मी माझ्या परीवाराबरोबर दरवर्षी महालक्ष्मी मंदीरात जायचे. (आणि तेव्हा खरं तर फक्त मूगभजीच खायला जायचे) :D .असं एकसुद्धा वर्ष ती भजी खाल्ल्याशिवाय गेलेले नाही.

    tumhi jar US madhye rahat asal tar konatyahi supermarket madhye he measuring cups available astat. Walmart madhye sahaj miltil.
    Jar tumhi Indiamadhye asal tar jithe plastic che saman milte kiva cookware miltat asha dukana miltil..

  11. Actually I have tried this recipe yesterday but it wasn't that good, as the Mugbhaji became very hard and was uncooked. I have exactly followed the instructions and this is the only recipe that has failed so far.What was wrong in my cooking, please advice. Thankyou

  12. Hi Tina

    If the ground mixture is too dry or if soaked moong dal is not ground properly it may result into hard and uncooked bhajji.

    Try to grind it properly. Sometimes mixer doesn't grind it perfectly so add very little (couple of spoons) water while grinding.

    dal vatun lagech bhajitalavi, vatan vatun thevale a baryach velane talale tar bajila tel khup lagte.
