Mushroom Masala in Marathi
Serves: 2 persons
150 gram Button Mushroom
3 medium Onion, pureed
3 Juicy Tomato, finely chopped
6 to 7 Cashew nuts
4 to 5 Garlic Cloves, crushed
1 tsp Ginger Paste
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp Cumin-Coriander Powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
2 tbsp Cilantro, finely chopped
salt to taste
Method:
1) Wash Mushrooms thoroughly. If Mushrooms are big in size, cut them into two
2) Heat oil, add cumin seeds, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Add ginger-garlic paste. Add Onion, cashew nuts. Saute Onion till brown in color. Once onion is done, add tomatoes and cook till mushy. Add salt, coriander cumin powder and Garam Masala, mix.
3) Now add Mushrooms, cover and cook over medium low heat. Cook approx 20 to 25 minutes, till mushrooms cook.
Note:
If you want very fine gravy, then puree tomatoes into mixi and use it instead of chopping them. Make this gravy nice and thick.

This is one of the best mushrooms dishes with spices i have evernseen.

I tried it..i dont know why it turned a bit better in taste..it did not taste good...is it because of too many onions. I used the same amount of onions and tomatoes and fried it well too. Please explain..
