Dahiwali Paneer Sabzi in Marathi
Time: 30-35 minutes
Serves: 3
Ingredients:
200 gram paneer
2 cloves, 2 pepper corn, 1 small piece of cinnamon (or use 3 pinches cinnamon powder for better result)
1 medium onion, finely chopped (a little more than 1/4 cup)
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp garlic paste
1 cup tomato puree (grind ripe tomato to fine puree)
6 to 8 tbsp cashew paste (3 tbsp magaj seeds + 1/4 cup broken cashews)
1/4 cup yogurt + 1 tsp garam masala + 1 tsp ginger garlic paste + 1/4 tsp chaat masala + 1.5 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp chopped Mint leaves
2 tbsp malai
4 to 5 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Sugar if require
Method:
1) Heat oil into a kadai. Add whole spices. Then add chopped onion. Saute till light brown. Add grated ginger and garlic paste.
2) Add tomato puree. Simmer till raw flavor of tomato disappears (about 10 minutes). Add cashew paste and simmer further for 3-4 minutes. Add paneer. Stir occasionally.
3) Add yogurt mixture and salt. Simmer for a couple of minutes. Then add mint leaves, malai and sugar. Simmer covered for 8 to 10 minutes. Garnish with grated paneer.
Serve hot.
