Mugale in Marathi
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Rice
1/4 cup Yellow Moong Dal
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder
salt to taste
Ghee
Method:
1) Wash Dal and Rice together under running water. Add washed Rice and Dal and around 2 cups of water. Also add Turmeric and Asafoetida powder. Pressure cook to 5 whistles and turn off heat.
2) Wait for 15 minutes. Open pressure cooker and transfer cooked Rice and Dal to other saucepan. Add little water to adjust the consistency. Blend with hand blender to make the mixture little gooey. Add salt to taste and 1 tbsp Ghee. Rice should be medium thick consistency. It should not be too runny or too thick.
Serve hot with Lemon Pickle, plain yogurt and Metkut
