Coconut burfi in English

वाढणी : २० ते २५ वड्या

साहित्य:
१ नारळ
३५० ग्रॅम साखर
तूप
वेलची पूड

कृती :
१) एक नारळ खवून घ्यावा. नारळ खवताना त्यातील काळपट भाग घेऊ नये.
२) नंतर कढईमध्ये दोन ते तीन चमचे तूप घ्यावे. तूप गरम झाल्यावर त्यात खवलेला नारळ घालावा.
३) मंद आचेवर थोडासा परतून घ्यावा.
४) २-३ मिनिटानंतर साखर घालून परतावे. हळूहळू साखर वितळू लागेल. मंद आचेवर ढवळत राहावे.
५) छोटा अर्धा चमचा वेलचीच पूड घालावी. हळूहळू मिश्रण घट्ट होऊ लागते.
६) एका परातीला तूप लावून घ्यावे आणि मिश्रण त्यात ओतावे. एका वाटीच्या तळाला तूप लावावे आणि मिश्रण पूर्ण परातीत समान पसरावे. अर्ध्या इंचाचा थर करावा.
७) मिश्रण गरम असतानाच सुरीने हलक्या हाताने वड्या पाडाव्यात. नाहीतर मिश्रण थंड झाल्यावर वड्या नीट पडत नाहीत.
८) मिश्रण थंड झाले की वड्या वेगवेगळ्या कराव्यात.

टिप:
१) वड्यांना केशरी रंग हवा असल्यास थोडे केशर किंवा खायचा केशरी रंग घालू शकतो.
२) जर आंब्याचा रस उपलब्ध असेल तर साखर घालताना थोडी साखर कमी करून थोडा आंबा रस घालावा. नारळ आणि आंबा एकत्र स्वाद अप्रतिम लागतो.

    yes you can use dessicated coconut. As dessicated coconut is dry, roast coconut a little. Also use milk to moist dry coconut.

    If you have 2 cups of Coconut scrape, use 1 cup sugar.
    Sugar quantity can be changed according to your taste. but the approx measurement is 1 cup sugar for 2 cups of coconut.

  20. आत्ताच वड्या करून पाहिल्या. आमच्याकडे मी सोडून सर्व गोड कमी खातात म्हणून कमी साखर वापरली त्यामुळे वड्या पडल्या नाहीत. पण चव चांगली होती. जर कमी साखर हवी असेल तर बॉन्डींग साठी आणखी काय वापरता येईल?

    Made this recipe too and came out well. Pan mazhya vadya karkarit nahi padlya ani jara soft vatatahet. Kadachit sakhar kami asanar. Bahutek gaar zhalya nantar pan soft rahilyat, tar laduch valen. Mazhe pillu baki khush zale. Thanks.
