Jeera Aloo in Marathi
Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 3-4
Ingredients:
4 medium potatoes
2 tsp oil, 1/2 to 3/4 tsp cumin seeds, 1/8 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
5-6 curry leaves
1/2 tsp coriander powder
2 pinches garam masala
Salt to taste
pinch of sugar
Method:
1) Peel and cut potatoes into cubes.
2) Heat oil. Add cumin seeds, hing, turmeric, and curry leaves. Add potato cubes. Turn the heat low. Saute. Cover and cook potato cubes. Saute occasionally.
3) Once potatoes are half done, add garam masala, coriander powder, red chili powder and salt. Cover and cook till wel cooked. Sprinkle little sugar and mix.
Serve hot.
