Amtiche Dhirde in Marathi
Time: 15 minutes
4 medium Pancakes
Healthy Pancake flour Recipe using variety of Lentils
Ingredients:
1 cup leftover Amti (Dal)
1/2 cup water (tip)
Flour Mixture (Rice, jowar, wheat, besan etc)
Green chili paste to taste
1/2 tsp garlic paste (optional)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Oil
Method:
1) Take the leftover dal into a mixing bowl. Add approx 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour mixture. Add water to adjust the conistency. Check the taste and salt and chili paste accordingly. Also add garlic paste. The batter should be thin in consistency (Not too watery though)
2) Heat a tawa. Drizzle some oil. Once tawa is hot, stir the batter and then spread with a ladle. Turn heat to medium. Let the one side becomes crispy. Drizzle some oil. Then flip to the other side.
3) Make the other side little crispy too.
Serve the ghavan with chutney, pickle or tomato ketchup.
Tips:
1) The amount of water depends on the consistency of dal. Add less water if amti itself is thin and vice versa.
2) You may use single flour or mixed flours like rice, jowar, besan, matki, masoor etc.
