Snake Gourd Raita in Marathi
Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Padwal slices (snake-gourd) (Clean the seeds)
1/2 to 3/4 cup well beaten yogurt
2 tbsp roasted peanuts powder (roasted)
1/2 tsp green chili paste
1 tsp ghee
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
Salt and sugar to taste
Method:
1) Cook padwal slices into a pressure cooker. Crush snake-gourd slices with a spoon but keep them a bit chunky.
2) Take crushed padwal into a medium mixing bowl. Add yogurt, peanuts powder, chili paste, chopped cilantro, sugar and salt to taste. Mix well.
3) Heat ghee into a tadka pan. Add cumin seeds. Wait till cumin sizzles. Pour it on raita. Mix well.
Serve as a side dish in your meal.
