Adai Dosa in Marathi
Time: 3 minutes / Dosa
Makes: 18 to 20 medium dosas
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Rice
1/2 cup Urad Dal
1/4 cup Chana Dal
1/4 cup Toor dal
1/4 cup Mung dal
1/4 cup Masoor Dal
12-15 Fenugreek seeds
4-5 Dry red chilies
1 inch piece of Ginger
Salt to taste
Oil to roast dosa
Method:
1) Soak Rice, Urad dal, chana dal, mung dal, masoor dal, fenugreek seeds and red chilies in sufficient water for 5 to 6 hours.
2) Drain and save the water. Grind the dal and rice mixture by adding ginger and salt. Also add saved water to get the required consistency. Make a smooth batter.
3) Heat a nonstick tawa. Once tawa is hot, pour a ladleful batter in the center. Spread the batter in outward circular motion. Make a thin crepe. Drizzle little oil around dosa.
4) When one side gets brown color, flip the side and cook the other side too.
Serve hot with sambar, chutney or potato masala.
Tip:
1) In this recipe, batter doesn't need to be fermented. 2) You may change the proportion of dal to your preference.
