Soya Granules Upma

Time: 10 to 15 minutes

Ingredients: 
 
35 grams Soy Granules
1 tsp Ghee
¼ tsp Cumin seeds
Pinch of Hing
4 to 5 Curry leaves
1 or two Green Chilli, finely chopped
1 small Onion chopped
1 tbsp Green Peas
1 tbsp Carrot small dice
1 tbsp French beans chopped
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Coriander chopped

Directions:

  1. Soak soy granules into cold water for 4-5 minutes. Squeeze out all the water. 
  2. Heat ghee into a pan. Add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, green chili. Sauté. 
  3. Add Onion and sauté till translucent. Add green peas, carrot and french beans. Add little water and let everything cook well. 
  4. Add squeezed soy granules and some water. Also add sugar and salt. Cook till water is almost evaporated. Garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot. 

Note:

  1. Replace ghee with Oil to make it vegan.
  2. Add cashew nuts to add little crunch to the umpa.
