Sprouts Sandwich in Marathi
Time: 25-30 minutes
Yield: 3 sandwiches
Ingredients:
6 bread slices
3/4 cup mixed sprouted beans (Mung, Matki, Dried peas, Chole, Green or black chana etc)
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/4 tsp black salt
1/2 tsp red chili powder
3 to 4 tbsp chopped cilantro
3 to 4 Onion slices
3 to 4 potato slices
Green chutney (cilantro+mint+salt+green chilies)
Butter
Salt to taste
Method:
1) Steam cook the sprouts (they should remain dry yet properly cooked). Add some salt while steaming. Crush them well.
2) Add chat masala, black salt, red chili powder and cilantro. Add salt and mix well.
3) Apply butter and chutney to 3 bread slices. Spread sprouts mixture. Arrange potato and onion slices. Top it with remaining bread slices.
4) Toast it in the toaster till light brown. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
