Babycorn Paneer Satay in Marathi
Time: 30 minutes
serves: 3 to 4
Ingredients:
200 gram paneer, medium cubes
1 medium capsicum, medium dices (Microwave for a minute)
8 to 10 baby corns, 1.5 inch pieces (Microwave for a minute)
::::For Marianation::::
1 tsp Curry Powder (I dint have it, So I used garam masala and added 1/4 tsp turmeric. Worked well for me)
1.5 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp honey
1 tbsp oil Salt to taste
Other Ingredients:
Lemon wedges
Chaat Masala
Peanut Sauce
Salt
Red chili powder
AND toothpicks
Method:
1) Mix the ingredients given under the label marination. Add paneer, capsicum, baby corns, turmeric powder and some red chili powder (optional). Toss and make sure the paneer, capsicum and baby corns are coated well. Leave it for 15 minutes.
2) Meanwhile, prepare peanut sauce. (If you are using the readymade peanut sauce then proceed with the next step)
3) Take the toothpicks. String the capsicum slice, paneer and babycorn piece in it. Keep all the satay sticks ready.
4) Take a nonstick pan. Add some oil and half of the prepared satay. Toss them on a high flame, till the color of the paneer changes. Repeat for the remaining satay.
5) Arrange them on a serving plate along with peanut sauce. Sprinkle some chaat masala, red chili powder, lemon juice and little salt.
Serve hot.
Tip:
1) When we saute paneer babycorn satay, paneer browns quickly and babycorn and capsicum remain crunchy (actually, they don't get cooked at all). Some people do prefer the crispiness of the capsicum. If you like the raw crunchiness, then no need to microwave them.
