Capsicum Stir Fry in Marathi
Time: 20 Minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
2 medium Capsicum
2 tbsp Oil
1/8 tsp Mustard Seeds, 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds, 1 pinch of Hing, 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp Red chili powder, 2-3 curry leaves
Salt to taste
pinch of sugar
4 to 5 tbsp Chickpea Flour (Besan)
2 tbsp chopped Cilantro
Method:
1) Cut capsicum, remove seeds. Chop into small cubes. Heat a nonstick pan. Add 2 tbsp oil. Turn the heat on medium. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle. Then serially add, cumin seeds, hing, turmeric powder, red chili powder and curry leaves. Now, add capsicum and saute. Cover the pan and steam cook over medium-low heat. Do not add water. Stir occasionally.
2) Once capsicum cubes become soft, add salt to taste and pinch of sugar. Mix nicely and Sprinkle 1 tbsp chickpea flour. Stir nicely and add more as required. Mix gently, cover and cook until chickpea flour gets cooked.
3) Add chopped cilantro and serve Capsicum Bhaji with Chapati.
Tip:
1) Add some lemon juice to give tangy taste.
