Crispy Wontons in Marathi

Time: Preparation- 35minutes | cooking time- 20 minutes
15 medium wontons 

1 medium carrot
1 medium bell peppper
3/4 cup cabbage, thinly sliced
5-6 french beans
3 mushroom
1/4 cup tofu, very small cubes
0 2 stalks spring onions
2 green chilies
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
2 tsp ginger, finely chopped
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
1 cup maida
1/2 tsp salt
Other Ingredient: Oil for frying

1) For the stuffing, chop all the vegetables finely. Heat oil into a wok. Saute ginger-garlic and spring onion. Then add all the chopped vegetables and saute over high heat for a minute. Add soy sauce and salt. Stir for few seconds and transfer it to another bowl.
2) Mix maida, salt and water. Make a semi-stiff dough. Divide the dough into marble size balls. Use corn flour or arrowroot powder for dusting. Roll into thin circles.
3) Place 2 tsp stuffing in the center. Apply slight water around the half of the edge. Fold and make half moon shape dumpling. Seal the edges. join the two ends at the back. Likewise make all the wontons. (see the picture).
4) Heat oil over medium heat. Add wontons in batches and fry till golden.
Serve hot as an appetizer along with chili sauce and schezwan sauce.

1) Vegetables should be finely chopped.
If vegetables are not finely chopped, then the cover may tear while making wontons. Also, do not grate the vegetables, the texture won't be good.
2) Steamed chicken or crab pieces may be added in the stuffing.
