Eggless dates and walnut cake in English

३/४ कप मैदा
१/२ कप खजूराचे तुकडे
१/४ कप पाणी, खजूर भिजवण्यासाठी
१/४ कप अक्रोडाचे तुकडे
७ oz कन्डेन्स मिल्क (३/४ कप + २ टेस्पून)
४ टेस्पून बटर (अनसॉल्टेड), वितळवून
१ टिस्पून बेकिंग सोडा
१/२ टिस्पून बेकिंग पावडर
१/२ टिस्पून वेनिला इसेंस

कृती:

१) १/४ कप कोमट पाण्यात खजूराचे तुकडे साधारण ३० मिनीटे भिजवून ठेवावे. नंतर खजूर पाण्यातून काढावे, बिया काढून मिक्सरमध्ये पेस्ट करावी. पेस्ट करताना भिजवायला वापरलेले पाणी वापरावे.
२) ओव्हन ३२५ F (१६० C) वर प्रिहीट करावे. मैदा, बेकिंग पावडर आणि बेकिंग सोडा एकत्र करून २ ते ३ वेळा चाळून घ्यावे, यामुळे तिन्ही जिन्नस छान मिक्स होतील आणि गुठळ्या राहणार नाहीत. दुसर्‍या वाडग्यात कन्डेन्स मिल्क, वितळवलेले बटर आणि वेनिला इसेंस घालून मिक्स करावे. मैद्याचे मिश्रण घालून गुठळ्या न होता फेटून घ्यावे. नंतर त्यात खजूराची पेस्ट आणि अक्रोडाचे तुकडे घालून मिक्स करावे.
३) ओव्हनसेफ भांडे आतून बटरने ग्रिस करावे म्हणजे केक बेक झाला कि भांड्याला चिकटणार नाही. केकसाठीचे मिश्रण भांड्यात ओतावे आणि वरून चमच्याने सारखे करावे. प्रिहिट केलेल्या ओव्हनमध्ये मधल्या रॅकवर केकचे भांडे ठेवावे आणि ४५ मिनीटे बेक करावे.
४) ४५ मिनीटांनी ओव्हन बंद करावे, पण भांडे लगेच बाहेर काढू नये. ५ मिनीटांनी बाहेर काढावे.
५) ५ मिनीटांनी भांडे ओव्हनच्या बाहेर काढावे आणि जाळीच्या रॅकवर काढून ठेवावे आणि गार होवू द्यावे. केक गार झाला कि सावकाशपणे भांड्यातून बाहेर काढावा. कापण्यापूर्वी केक पूर्ण गार झाला पाहिजे.
१/२ इंचाचे तुकडे करून डब्यात भरून ठेवावा.

टीप:
१) प्रत्येक ओव्हनची हिटींग पॉवर वेगवेगळी असते त्यामुळे बेकिंगसाठी काही मिनीटे कमीजास्त होवू शकतात.
२) जर बटर नसेल तर घरचे लोणी वापरले तरी चालेल.

  8. Maithili, ha cake eggless aahe tyamule condensed milk ch lagel. Sadhya dudhane cake nit fulanar nahi. Sadhya dudhane cake banavaycha aselach, tar tyat cake fulanyakarata ajoon kahi tari ingredient ghalava lagel flaxseeds etc.Mhanoon ya recipe sathi condensed milk ch vapar.
    Jar egg chalat asel tar 2 eggs fetun ghal.

    Egg ghatles tar condensed milk nahi lagnar. Ani sakhar ghalayala lagel tula. Tula andajane sakhareche praman tharvayala lagel. ani cake batter thode patal rahayala thodese dudh vaparoo shakates.

    Ajoon ek, condensed milk vaparale ki te bake zale ki caramalize houn chan flavour yeto cake la. Tu bagh tula condensed milk aivaji evaporated milk milale tari chalel. Tu kuthe rahtes, mhanje mi condesed milk kuthe milel te sangoo shaken andajane.

    You can skip the dates..then it will be a normal vanilla cake :).. Increase the quantity of condensed milk by a little as you are not going to add dates..

    तुम्ही या केकसाठी नेहमीचा खजूर वापरू शकता तसेच बेकिंग खजूरही बाजारात अव्हेलेबल असतो, ज्यामध्ये खजूराची घट्ट पेस्ट असते. केकचा रंग खजूरामुळे तर आला आहेच पण कंडेन्स मिल्कमुळे केक बेक करताना तो caramelize होतो आणि केक अजून गडद रंगाचा दिसतो. बाकी चवीत काही फरक नाही :)

  36. Your cake won't come well if you use olive oil as the smell, taste and thickness of olive will change the taste of the cake. I would suggest you to use butter for better texture and taste..However, you can try other oil like canola oil or vegetable oil which does not have any smell..

    I have not tried wheat flour for this cake.. Maida makes the cake spongy and light..But you can try it by using wheat flour in small quantity.

    मी कधी हा केक मायक्रोवेव्हमध्ये करून पाहिला नाही त्यामुळे नक्की सांगू शकत नाही.
    मार्गारीन म्हणजेच वनस्पतीजन्य तूप. हे सुद्धा बेकिंगमध्ये बटरऐवजी वापरले जाते.

    Thanks for your comment.. Baking soda is pure sodium by carbonate.. Baking Powder is mixture of Baking soda + Cream of Tartar + Starch.

    walnut mhanje Akrod - yache fakt saal kinchit kadvat (may be turat) lagte pan purna khallyavar nahi lagat kadu ajibat..mala tari vatte ki purna tukda khaun paha..mala nahi vatat kahi problem hoil..

    I use measuring cups to measure the ingredients - click here to read an article about measuring cups.

    Usual cups we use for tea/coffee have different shapes and sizes. Therefore, you won't get the same serving portions. Also, measuring 1/2 a cup or 1/4 of a cup can become difficult. It is better to buy measuring cups because you will be able to measure perfect amount of ingredients.

    1. मायक्रोवेव्हमध्ये सुद्धा प्रकार असतात. काही फक्त मायक्रोवेव्ह असतात. ज्यामध्ये पदार्थ गरम करता येतो. जे पदार्थ आपण gas वर बनवू शकतो तसे पदार्थ शिजवू शकतो.
      काही मायक्रोवेव्ह मध्ये मायक्रोवेव्ह सोबत 'ग्रील' हा ऑप्शन असतो. जे वापरून पदार्थ ग्रील करता येतो. या दोन्ही मध्ये बेकिंग करता येत नाही.
      ज्या मायक्रोवेव्ह मध्ये 'कन्व्हेक्शन' हा ऑप्शन असतो त्यामध्ये केक बेक करता येतो. तर तुमच्याकडे कोणत्या प्रकारचा मायक्रोवेव्ह आहे ते पहा. त्यावरील बटन्स मध्ये कन्व्हेक्शन हा ऑप्शन आहे का ते पहा. जर नसेल तर मग केक बेक नाही होणार त्यामध्ये.
      तुम्हाला वाटल्यास कुकरमध्ये सुद्धा केक बेक करता येईल. वरती दिलेलेच प्रमाण वापरा. सर्व कृती सेम फक्त ओव्हन मध्ये बेक करायच्या ऐवजी पुढील रेसिपीमध्ये दिलेल्या पद्धतीने केक बेक करा - कुकरमधील केक

    I am a regular reader of your blog. All the recipes that you post are really very good and easy to make. About the eggless dates and walnut cake,I want to know whether it can be done in a cake cooker. I have an aluminium cake cooker. I have to put sand found on the sea shore in a small plate and then place the cooking vessel on it for baking the cake. Also, pl. inform the timing for baking in it. Normally the egg cake which I cook in it takes about 1 hr. 15 mins. to bake on a small flame.

      I have never used Cake cooker before. I hope it is the same as our regular cooker.
      The time for baking is depends on the quantity of batter you are using. For the above quantity, it will take almost the same time mentioned above. Please check the doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake.
