Melon Salad in Marathi
Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 3 to 4
Ingredients:
1 medium watermelon
1 Musk Melon
Dressing:
2 to 3 tbsp Lemon juice
4 to 6 tbsp sugar
2 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper powder
Method:
1) Cut the watermelon and musk melon into halves. remove the seeds from musk melon. With the help of melon scooper, scoop out the balls of watermelon and musk melon. Put them into refrigerator atleast for an hour.
2) In a saucepan, add sugar and just enough water to make the sugar wet. Heat over medium heat till sugar dissolves. Let it cool down a bit. Add lemon juice and salt. Drizzle over salad. Serve.
Tips:
1) You may add some crushed mint leaves for flavor. Also, a little amount of black salt will taste good.
2) We dont get to see honey-dew melon in India. It has light pista color and has honeylike sweet taste. If you get one, it can be added too.
