Buttered Vegetables in Marathi
Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 2
A simple, non-spicy yet flavorful dish. These glazed vegetables makes a great combination with roasted chicken or any roasted meat. Being a vegetarian I eat them with pasta or fried rice.
Ingredients:
8 to 10 Cauliflower florets
8 to 10 tender green beans
1 medium potato, peeled
1 medium carrot, peeled
6-7 baby corn
2 garlic cloves, crushed
Salt to taste
1/2 to 1 tsp seasoning (parsley, garlic powder,)
2 tbsp Butter
Method:
1) Wash all the vegetables. Trim the ends of green beans. Make medium cubes of potato. Cut carrot and make diagonal slices.
2) Add all the vegetables into a microwave safe bowl. Add approx 1/4 cup water. Cover and microwave for 3 minutes. Let the bowl stay covered for 4-5 minutes.
3) Drain the water. Heat a nonstick pan. Add butter and saute garlic cloves. Then add all the vegetables. Toss the vegetables over high heat.
4) Sprinkle salt and seasoning. Toss till color of vegetables changes slightly.
Serve as a side dish.
