Vanilla Icecream in Marathi
10 scoops
Ingredients:
1/2 litre milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp Stabilizer
1.5 tbsp GMS powder
1.5 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/3 cup malai
Method:
1) Boil milk as usual. Let the milk cool down. Pour 1 cup milk into a bowl. Add GMS powder, Stabilizer and corn flour. Mix and make a lump free mixture.
2) Heat the milk again (no need to separate malai). Add sugar. Once milk starts boiling, slowly introduce the mixture and mix well to avoid lumps. Boil for 3-4 minutes over medium heat (keep stirring). Then turn off the heat.
3) Keep icecream mixture uncovered and let it come to room temperature. Stir occasionally. Once cold, pour it into Plastic container. Put the lid on. Freeze till the mixture solidifies.
4) Take the container out. Cut the icecream block into medium chunks. Put them into a grinder. Add vanilla essence and malai. Grind till frothy.
5) Pour it again into the plastic container. (Due to grinding the mixture increases in volume. So you may need another container)
6) Place the container into freezer. Freeze few hours. Once icecream is set, it is ready to serve.

ReplyDeleteNice recipe as always. Next time instead of grinding the frozen mix in grinder, try to whip it with hand mixer. That would give you more quantity and lighter ice cream.

DeleteYou may not get the same brand. However ask for stabilizer for icecream.
How much time do we need to freeze it ?
