Chili Cheese Toast in Marathi
Time: 15-20 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
8 bread slices
2 cups grated cheese (mozzarella)
3-4 mild green chilies, finely chopped
Some butter
Method:
1) Preheat oven on 350 F. Arrange bread slices on a baking tray. Apply little butter on one side. Sprinkle 1/4 cup grated cheese on each slice. You may add more if you like.
2) Sprinkle little green chili on each bread slice. Bake for 5-6 minutes or until cheese melts and becomes slightly brown.
3) Take the tray out. Cut bread slices and make bitesize pieces. Serve with tomato ketchup
Tips:
1) Any kind of cheese is fine. Normal cooking cheese tastes good too. But mozzarella cheese becomes stringy after melting. If you like stringy cheese but also like the taste of normal cheese then make a combination of cooking cheese and mozzarella cheese.
2) If you have microwave with grill option, you can grill the bread in it. Keep the wired stand for grilling in microwave. Place bread slices (topped with cheese and chili) on it. Grill for 3 minutes. Change the position of bread after each minute.
3) Indian cheese is enough salty. Hence there is no need to add extra salt. If you want you may add a small pinch over each slice.
