Tangy Crescent in Marathi

Time: 35-40 minutes


Ingredients:
1/2 cup fine sooji (semollina)
1 cup maida
1/4 cup hot oil
1 tsp carom seeds, slightly crushed
1/4 tsp pepper powder
Salt to taste
Masala blend:
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp chat masala
1/4 tsp salt

Method:
1) Mix rava, maida, carom seeds, pepper powder and salt. Add hot oil and mix. Add water and make medium consistency dough. Cover for 30 minutes.
2) After 30 minutes knead the dough or use food processor. Divide the dough into medium balls. Roll. Take a small cap of any container (1.5 inch diameter). Cut into crescent shape.
3) Deep fry over low to medium heat. Put them on tissue paper to remove excess oil. Once they are cool down a bit, toss them into the spice blend.

Tip:
1) Masala blend is completely optional.
