Garlic Pickle in Marathi
Time: 5 to 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Garlic cloves (Peeled and cut into small chunks)
1.5 to 2 tbsp Mango Pickle Masala
For Tempering: 3 tbsp oil, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder,
1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red chili powder (for color)
3 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
Method:
1) In a small bowl. Add chopped garlic cloves and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well. Leave it for 30 minutes.
2) Prepare tempering. Heat oil into a small tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, and wait till it crackles. Add hing and turmeric. Transfer this tempering to a small steel bowl to cool down.
3) Add mango pickle masala, red chili powder and lemon juice to salted garlic cloves. Mix well. Once tempering cools down, add it to the garlic pickle.
4) Mix well and check the taste. Add some salt if required.
Tips:
1) You may change the amount of oil and pickle masala according to your taste.
2) If you want to give a hint of ginger. Add a spoonful of grated ginger.
