American Chopsuey in Marathi
Time: Prep - 25 minutes | cooking time - 10 to 15 minutes
Serves - 4 persons
Ingredients:
300 grams noodles
1.5 cup oil for frying the noodles
1.5 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
1 medium bell pepper, big chunks
1 medium onion, medium chunks
4-5 mushrooms, sliced
1 medium carrot, medium slices
4 thick slices of pineapple, medium chunks
100 grams paneer, medium chunks
2 spring onions
3 tbsp schezwan sauce
4-5 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp pepper powder
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp corn flour
approx 2 cups water
salt to taste
Method:
1) Cook noodles in boiling water. Drain the water and deep fry noodles till crispy.
2) Heat 2 tbsp oil into a kadai (Use from the oil used for frying the noodles). Saute chopped ginger-garlic. Then add all the vegetables and stir fry for a minute or two.
3) Once vegetables are stir fried, add pineapple pieces, schezwan sauce and tomato ketchup. Mix everything well. Mix corn flour into 1/2 cup water. Add this mixture to the kadai. Add water to adjust the consistency. (consistency should be like honey)
4) In the end, add paneer, pepper powder, little salt and sugar.
Place the fried noodles in a serving plate. Pour prepared gravy. Serve hot.
