Shahi Paratha in Marathi

Time: 35 minutes
Makes: 7 to 8 medium parathas

Ingredients:
1 cup maida
1 tbsp oil
pinch of salt
1.5 cups pieces of dates
1 cup cashew+almond+pistachio powder
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Ghee

Method:
1) Take a medium pan. Add date pieces and enough water to cover dates. Cover and cook the dates over low heat. Cook till the dates become soft and mushy. Add little water if you find hard pieces.
2) Once dates are all soft and mushy, stir and make the dates dry. Remove into a plate to let it cool down. Then add cashew-pistachio-almond powder and sugar. Knead and make a soft dough. Use little ghee to prevent sticking.
3) Mix maida, oil and salt into a bowl. Add water and make a semi-soft dough. Cover and rest for 15 minutes.
4) Divide the dough into lemon sized balls. Divide the stuffing into same number. Roll maida dough into 3 inch circle. Place stuffing ball in the center. gather all the edges and seal.
5) Use some dry flour to roll and make paratha. Heat a tawa and roast paratha over medium heat. Drizzle some ghee while roasting.
Remove paratha from the heat when brown spots appear on both sides.
These paratha taste good even hot or cold.

Tip:
1) Amount of sugar can be adjusted according to your  taste.
